More about Anderson Schuyler, LMHC

Hello, I am Anderson J. Schuyler, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, with Ducky Behavioral Solutions, INC. I have a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, a Master in Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor Degree in Psychology. I have been working in the field of mental and behavioral health for over 15 years. My experience in behavioral science started while working with both children and adults with Autism and other special needs, providing Applied Behavioral Analysis to the individual and support to the families of those individuals. While earning my doctorate, I worked within a community non-profit, providing mental health counseling to individuals of all ages and therapeutic needs. During that time, I also worked alongside the Department of Children and Families, providing family counseling, parenting skills, and reunification services. Over the past year and a half, I provided services in an inpatient unit for the Department of Corrections, providing services to patients who struggled with severe long term mental health issues, including Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD, Autism as well as those with persistent self-harm and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. My therapeutic experience includes creating curriculums for and facilitating psychoeducational groups, both court-ordered and self-enrolled, which include Anger Management, Seeking Safety, SPARCS, and Depression and Anxiety groups. Currently, I am hosting a group therapy that utilizes a tabletop RPG-style gaming system to help individuals identify and work through challenging mental health topics. My approach to therapy is through alliance building and as a team, we will explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are creating the roadblocks in your life. We will work on ways to help you achieve both your short and long-term mental health goals.

Every meeting has been helpful and I feel every meeting has had some kind of impact on me in some way shape or form.
My visits have gone very well, I think that Dr Schuyler and I have been doing a lot of good work in helping me find more healthy ways of navigating my life and the world.
Anderson is always real nice to me and always checks on how I'm doing at the beginning of every session. He lets me text him whenever something is bothering me or making me upset outside of sessions so that is extremely helpful too. The only negative thing I can think of is I don't feel like i'm making any progress right now. I feel like we've been talking about the same stuff over and over but I feel that is a reflection on myself, not Anderson. Personally, I do feel a bit stressed before our sessions because I worry about how it's going to go or if i'm not spending my time with Anderson correctly.
He is amazing. He gives me different ways to think about things, different perspectives. Seems to understand my brain even when I don't. No judgement over, gives amazing advice. Amazing.
I have received behavioral health therapy for about 4 months with Mr. Schuyler. Mr. Schuyler has been nothing short of exempliary. He is extremely intuitive and allows me to express myself in a comfortable & safe environment. He has been keenly inciteful and has truly helped me live a much happier life.
Dr Anderson was attentive, listened, encouraging. He provided insightful coping skills. He made me comfortable in discussing & disclosing painful traumatic incidents. Great bedside manner, professional, safe.
