Hello, I'm Jo. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of working with individuals in community settings and various institutions. Since 2013, I've been dedicated to serving the communities of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties in multiple capacities, including as a volunteer, clinician, adjunct professor, and Clinical Director. Before this chapter of my career, I proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve for eight years, receiving an honorable discharge in 1999. My time in the military, particularly as a Mortuary Affairs Specialist, deeply influenced my understanding of trauma and its profound impact on individuals' lives. This experience fueled my passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of PTSD, depression, and substance use. In therapy, I blend my extensive experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor to connect with young adults and senior citizens facing various mental health and substance use challenges. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey where we draw upon your strengths and utilize a range of therapeutic techniques to tailor our approach to your unique needs and goals. Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, easy to relate to, non-judgmental, genuine, and compassionate. My aim is to help you overcome obstacles, move forward, and thrive.
