Anisa has been an absolute lifesaver. I had never been with a therapist and buried events for 20 years which caused ptsd. I finally reached a breaking point. She is caring and could tell she doesn't go at you with a one size fits all. She seemed to be mind reader because she knew from the start how to approach my specific situation. I will be forever grateful to her for what she has done to help me. It's not just a job to her. She truly cares. You can tell by her reactions as I'm making improvements. I definitely wouldn't be where I'm at without her. I still have a ways to go but I've only been seeing her for maybe 6 to 8 weeks. Not bad considering I've buried the demons for 20 years. She's kind, considerate, funny, a great listener, and seems to know exactly what to say.
To my fellow vets. I never thought in a million years I would talk to a therapist. I tried the VA meds with no luck. I finally gave in and so glad I did. You have to make sure you get together with the right therapist for you. If you don't feel you click ask for another. I was fortunate and was assigned the right one from the start. She has definitely changed my thoughts on therapy. I thought I was beyond help and also didn't want to admit I needed it. Just give it a go. You don't have to struggle alone.
To Anisa. I can't thank you enough. My wife has noticed a huge difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your help truly means so much to me and my family. Thank you!
