I absolutely love being a client of Anne Hill, I've visited her once a week for a year. She creates a very warm environment where clients can feel comfortable with opening up about whatever it is they are dealing with, without fear of judgment. Anne refrains from expressing opinion as to whether something is "right" or "wrong" by rather holding space for her clients to talk through their feelings to sort it out themselves, with questions to help guide those realizations if necessary. I would (and have) recommend Anne to anyone interested in trying (or returning to) psychotherapy.

Anne Hill is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist. She works with young adults, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in treating individuals experiencing challenges related to difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles.
Anne is psychodynamically trained and works from a relational perspective. She believes that people have in innate drive to do well and need only to be given the tools and support to do so. Her approach is warm and attuned and seeks to provide a safe and supportive space to identify obstacles and challenges, and find solutions to overcoming them. Anne encourages practices of mindfulness, kindness and ease with oneself outside of therapy sessions.
Anne graduated from Bennington College with a Bachelor's Degree in Art and holds a Master's of Science in Social Work from Fordham University with specialty in Social Work and the Law. She has worked in a variety of settings from art studios, schools and hospitals, to courts and an outpatient mental health clinic.

I was skeptical about therapy in general and whether or not it would work for me. Anne was very attentive and devoted to trying to help. She helped provide me with an outside perspective that helped me reconsider a lot of the self-destructive habits I have. I only stopped seeing her for appointments because of relocation, but would definitely recommend Anne to someone who is open-minded and invested in helping themselves. Anne will meet you halfway.
