What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered. I recognize that it can take time to feel comfortable in a new environment and with someone new, so I use the initial sessions to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where clients can move at a pace that feels comfortable for them while continuing to work toward their therapeutic goals. I utilize an integrative approach grounded in evidence-based techniques and psychodynamic perspectives, tailoring my interventions to each client’s unique needs, experiences, strengths, and goals. Throughout our work together, I prioritize creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 45 min in length on a weekly basis. Please allow 15 minutes before the session to do the intake paperwork. I PROVIDE PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES ONLY; PLEASE NOTE I DON’T PROVIDE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
