My name is Arika Mibu-Briou, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I work with individuals in life transitions and intercultural couples/families to help them navigate through past/present challenging experiences.
My approach
My theoretical approach to my work is based on Collaborative Therapy which is a client-centered approach emphasizing on mutual respect and collaboration through dialogical conversations. By working together as partners in therapy, I would like all participants to be able to engage in meaningful conversation and focus on what they want to change in their lives.
