Hi, I'm AJ, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Indianapolis, Indiana. My journey in mental health and behavioral counseling has allowed me to work with kids, teens, and adults facing various challenges, including trauma, ADHD, depression, chronic pain, issues related to chronic illness, and grief and loss.
I approach the therapeutic relationship with sensitivity and acute respect. My experience spans multiple settings, including individual counseling online, outpatient settings, medical offices, and mental health agencies. I believe we are all products of our closest relationships, our environment, our family systems, and every moment that leads to the present version of us. I treat the therapeutic relationship and you with compassion, respect, and warmth.
My therapy style and approach draw from Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, psychodynamics, client-centered therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. My top priority is meeting you where you are and working together to meet your goals. Whether you’re working toward symptom relief or improved functioning, I hope we can work together to achieve it.
