My counseling style is a combination of empathy, compassion, tactful honesty, and accountability. I think it’s important to build good rapport and mutual respect, helping clients take charge of their issues and advocate for themselves. I’m very open-minded and understand that we are human. I use a variety of counseling techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. Reaching out for counseling is a big deal and can be very challenging for some. So, my goal is to be supportive in your efforts. I hope to empower you and help you acquire skills to tackle your issues and advocate for yourself. I have worked in clinical settings serving our military service members and adolescents. During this time, I helped clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, mandated court counseling, self-esteem, diversity, diversity issues in the workplace, and ADHD. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Troy University.
