When I first started professional physical therapy I was in a lots of pains. Ash was very patient with me, then I have to stop. Because I was very sick. I came back to professional physical therapy on the month of May 2025. I still have Ash as my PT he's very patient and polite Ash is a gentleman. Thank you Ash.
I went to Pro PT after having a right knee meniscectomy in late January. I have my full range of motion back now, and can continue to go back to my normal life. My favorite part of everything was probably the staff you have working here, everyone is great and always helpful with giving out tips for whatever I was doing. I would definitely recommend Pro PT, this was my 3rd time at this location and it’s always been a great experience. I appreciate all that you guys have done for me, thank you so much!!!

More about Augustine (Ash) Hawkins, PT, DPT

I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles, California, playing football, baseball and surfing on the weekends. A string of injuries baseball injuries landed me in physical therapy, which I immediately felt a connection to. Creating a relationship with my physical therapist throughout these sessions gave me insight into the profession and I realized it was something I would like to do. This led to me applying as a Kinesiology major at San Diego State University, where I made the transition to playing Rugby and continued surfing in my free time. Another injury led to more PT and another great physical therapist, who took me on first as a volunteer and then as a tech, and mentored me in my journey as I began applying to physical therapy school. I was accepted into the program at Washington University in St. Louis, where I learned about the movement system and how small things that we do in every day can lead to pain, as well as how to relieve that pain. During my schooling I worked at various clinics across the country including: a neurological clinic in Pittsburgh, PA, an orthopedic clinic in Anchorage, AK, and a high-level sports clinic in Costa Mesa, CA where I worked with professional surfers, MMA fighters and national team soccer players. At the culmination of my studies in 2023, I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. A yearning to continue exploring the country brought me to Boston, where I plan to be for at least the next several years. Although I am a new clinician, I have a continued passion for learning and will be completing level one of a manual therapy course through the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy over the next year.

Was seen by Ash after I needed to reschedule with my regular treating therapist Brielle. Ash handled himself with grace and professionalism while treating another patient who had trepidations about their own injury recovery and pain. Witnessing him both validate how this person felt and congruently trying to explain how XYZ could help was refreshing!
