Therapy is a resource that can be challenging and difficult to start and commit to. However, therapy can also be an empowering resource that can assist clients with making a necessary change in their lives. A quote I say to myself and to my client’s “You may lie to your therapist, but you can’t lie to yourself.” As your therapist I have two goals, my first goal is to create a safe nonjudgmental environment where my client can be themselves, vent and to make self-realizations about their life and choices. My second goal is to try and make one difference in the lives of my clients. As a therapist I am direct and honest but empathetic and compassionate to my clients' feelings and life experiences. I am not here to control my client’s life. I am here to help create confidence, power, and self-love. Life, changes, and relationships can be stressful, depressing and chaotic. But my clients do not have to deal with it alone. I am here to help them work through those feelings and emotions that have occurred because of those issues. I have experience with helping clients who are dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and PTSD. I have worked with a variety of populations. The primary populations I am open to working with are preteens and teens 12-17, young adults, adults, veterans, individuals, elderly, families, and couples. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking a variety of dishes from different cultures, attending concerts, traveling, reading and attending brunch.
