Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
274 Madison Ave, Rm 1501, New York, NY
*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am a compassionate, neurodiverse mental health clinician with a diverse background in engineering and nursing. After completing my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Columbia University, I pivoted to healthcare, driven by a desire to make deeper personal connections and help others. I obtained my master’s degree in nursing and later completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Columbia, where I trained extensively in psychiatry and medication management. Having worked through the challenges of my own mental health journey, I bring a personal investment in helping others move through their struggles. My experience ranges from working with children and adolescents at the New York Foundling, addressing trauma, depression, and anxiety, to treating adults with complex mental health conditions such as treatment-resistant depression. My approach is informed by my clinical experience and my ongoing study of psychology, philosophy, and spirituality, all of which help me see patients as whole individuals with unique journeys.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that reaching out for mental health support can be difficult, but I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel seen and valued. My therapeutic style is a unique blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and humanistic therapy, with a heavy emphasis on positive reframing, mindfulness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in the power of laughter and warmth to make the therapeutic process feel lighter, even when tackling difficult subjects. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, reshape negative thought patterns, and find meaning and hope, no matter how overwhelming things may feel. As someone who values self-exploration and personal growth, I will encourage you to set the pace of your healing journey while providing the guidance and tools to help you thrive. Whether we are working through depression, anxiety, ADHD, or trauma, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and preferences.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you come in for a session, we’ll start by exploring what’s going on in your life and how it’s affecting you. I approach each session with curiosity and an open mind, asking thoughtful questions to better understand how your mind works. I also value your input and trust your ability to reflect and heal. During our work together, we will focus on challenging unhelpful thinking patterns and replacing them with more empowering beliefs, helping you gain control over your mental health. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate mindfulness practices to help you manage anxiety or lifestyle modifications such as exercise for depression. For ADHD or ASD, I use a strength-based approach, helping you build skills to navigate the world without losing your sense of self. My ultimate goal is to empower you, so each session is designed to leave you feeling more confident and optimistic about your path forward. I want you to know that every day is a new opportunity, and together, we can make real progress in creating the life you want.
