Hi there, I'm Carla!
Welcome; I am excited to connect and support you during this period of exploration, growth, and transition. I am Carla Johnson, with two decades of experience helping folks make life changes and providing counseling. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Fresno. My work focuses on the impact of multigenerational trauma on the individual, emphasizing the mind, body, and spirit connection central to person-centered care.
My approach
My therapy approach comes from a humanistic lens. I help you adjust your circumstances to better support your needs and goals, whether in career, relationships, or spiritual or physical domains. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, and Narrative therapy to meet you where you are and create a safe place to build and bolster your growth and change, leading to your best self.
My focus
I have two decades of experience treating anxiety, burnout, depression, family conflict, grief, life transitions, sleep challenges, panic, stress, trauma, and women’s issues.
My communication style
I create a safe, open, comfortable, and dynamic exchange using a nonjudgmental approach, building a secure foundation of trust and positive regard that expands outward in your life.
My journey to therapy
I became a therapist due to early childhood experiences and seeing discrepancies in access to mental health care. I am driven to assist folks in making changes to improve and actualize their goals so overall life satisfaction and joy increase.

I explore clients’ innermost hopes and desires and start with small, buildable goals until we reach the desired outcome.
