I’m Carol Pulido, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
You’ve tried to do this on your own for a long time but you just can’t help feeling anxious about how to move forward. It’s difficult keeping it all together; keeping everyone happy while trying to be happy yourself. Time and time again I’ve worked with high-achieving individuals who have tried to find that happy balance, but it often ended up with racing thoughts, not sleeping enough, and an overall feeling of “blah.”
I have experience working with many individuals: helping them first understand themselves and creating a path of discovering their ideal life. This happens as we explore your current joys and challenges as well as uncovering your past. I believe it is extremely important to understand how your past experiences have affected you. This helps you to finally get off the hamster wheel of behavior patterns that no longer work for you.
I am a very direct therapist who will challenge you to reach within yourself. But we will have a good time doing this. What is important is that we will take this journey together. Working with me is not always easy. I will laugh and cry with you – sometimes both at the same time. On those difficult days, I will help guide you through relaxation so that this difficult process is manageable for you.
I have an extensive background working with different life issues. I am trained and have worked with individuals needing healing from narcissistic abuse, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction, relationship conflicts and identity crisis.
As an adjunct professor, I teach Masters’ level students learn to diagnose and assess for mental health and mental illness. This unique experience helps me to really hone in on what is affecting you and also find the best treatment that is unique to you. You will find that I tailor approved interventions to what works for YOU.
