I received my Masters in social work from Adelphi University in 2003 and have been providing counseling and rehabilitation services for the past 16 years. I
have done individual and group psychotherapy in the outpatient, intensive outpatient, as well as in the partial hospital levels of care. I have a wealth of experience treating individual and family affected by mental illness and all levels of emotional distress. I see children and adults with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, family issues, grief work, and interpersonal issues. I practice utilizing an eclectic approach including the psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and experiential theory. Through the connection made in the therapeutic relationship, both short and long-term goals will be formulated and achieved. I also utilize motivational interviewing and the strengths-based perspective to manage a variety of addiction issues. My office is located in
Amityville village and is accessible by convenient modes of transportation.
