Cheryl Wargo, LPCC, is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based care. Serving patients throughout Kentucky, Cheryl offers individual and family therapy for adolescents, teens, and adults. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Cheryl is especially passionate about supporting individuals managing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She understands how overwhelming these conditions can feel and is committed to helping her clients regain a sense of control, resilience, and hope. Cheryl also has a strong clinical focus on life transitions from adolescence to adulthood, midlife adjustments, and later-life changes. She believes in equipping clients with practical tools to navigate these transitions while addressing the emotional, relational, and psychological challenges that often accompany them.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, and parenting skills interventions. Cheryl works closely with families navigating parenting challenges and provides inclusive care for individuals with developmental disabilities and those connected to adoption and foster care systems. Additionally, she is experienced in addressing women's mental health needs, including challenges related to identity, relationships, and caregiving roles.
Outside of her clinical work, Cheryl enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with her family's activities that reflect her appreciation for balance, nature, and meaningful personal connections.
