She holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Cleveland State University and a master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University, where she concentrated in child and adolescent mental health. She also has a two-year post-graduate certification in marital and family therapy from The Family Therapy Center at the University of Cincinnati. Her specialty areas with children include adjustment to new or challenging situations, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), childhood anxieties and phobias, school or social problems, adoption and foster care, and divorce/shared parenting and custody issues. She also works with adults who are experiencing depression or anxiety related to life transitions including loss, chronic illness and relationship/family issues.
