Talking to a counselor when you are sad, mad, scared, anxious, confused, or even happy can be beneficial at any age, especially if you find yourself needing a supportive, unbiased perspective. I truly believe that life is not about simply surviving- but thriving- and counseling can be an important first step in this process!
In 2010, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Social Work. Now as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S), I have been working in the mental health field for the past 12 years serving adults, children and families. Prior to private practice, I worked in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health clinics and nonprofit organizations helping individuals struggling with various life situations address challenges such as mental health issues, addiction and trauma utilizing evidenced-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-Based Approaches.
I work with children ages 6 and above, adolescents and adults who are struggling with mood disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief/loss, behavioral issues, chronic pain or those who are going through a difficult life transition to provide you with individualized coping tools, support and guidance to assist you in reaching your specific goals. Together, in a supportive and non-judgmental environment, we can tackle life’s challenges together, empowering you to live your best life!
