I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of a licensed clinician at Between Therapy. I work with high school–aged adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and relationship strain—especially during periods of heightened pressure or recent setbacks. Many of my clients are professionals, students, caregivers, and individuals carrying significant responsibility at work or within their families. They often appear capable and dependable, yet feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck beneath the surface. If you’re navigating a stressful season and looking for clarity and practical support, therapy can help. I offer sessions in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Getting to know Da Song

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a steady, collaborative approach. I draw from ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, but our work is practical and grounded rather than overly clinical. If you’re coming in after a recent trigger—such as a conflict, setback, or period of heightened stress—we can focus first on what feels most urgent. We work to stabilize the situation, clarify what’s happening beneath the surface, and identify immediate steps that feel realistic. At the same time, we look at broader patterns that may be contributing to ongoing stress. Our work balances insight and action, helping you build sustainable ways to respond differently, rather than simply coping in the moment. Sessions move at a manageable pace, with structure and direction while leaving space for reflection.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, we focus on understanding what brings you in and identifying the patterns contributing to your current stress. If something specific has recently happened—a conflict, setback, or overwhelming moment—we can address that directly while also looking at the broader patterns behind it. Sessions are conversational but structured. We work through thoughts, emotions, and behavioral responses, and develop practical, realistic strategies you can apply in real time. Over time, therapy builds both insight and concrete problem-solving skills, helping you respond to challenges with greater steadiness and clarity.
