My name is Dana Denson. Currently, I am dually licensed as Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I believe that taking a leap towards wellness and beginning your therapeutic journey is a very courageous thing to do. As a therapist I am passionate and believe in using the trauma-informed care and strength-based approach with individuals who are seeking guidance and wellness.
My interests and specialties include serving clients with depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, health-related issues, work and academic related stress, career exploration and change, family conflict, and much more. I utilize a variety of theories and modalities which incorporate best practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), psychoeducation, and short-term problem solving.
For the past 10 years I have worked in various treatment settings to include community-based care, residential treatment, juvenile detention, alternative school setting, managed care, and outpatient therapy. I have served a variety of client populations to include children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families.
