Getting to know Bright Setorglo

Bright Setorglo, PMHNP – Compassionate Mental Health Care for Children, Teens & Adults I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing individualized, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care to children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults across Texas through secure telehealth. I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and behavioral health issues. I also support clients navigating grief, life transitions, stress-related disorders, and relationship challenges. My goal is to create a compassionate, judgment-free environment where you feel safe, heard, and empowered to grow. I integrate medication management with personalized care plans that may include elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches. Every treatment plan is tailored to your needs and developed in collaboration with you. My approach is culturally sensitive, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing starts with human connection. I recognize that no two people are the same, and I prioritize building trust and mutual respect in every session. I offer flexible telepsychiatry appointments to increase access to care for individuals and families across Texas—including underserved and rural communities. Whether you're seeking support for the first time or looking for a provider who truly listens, I’m here to help you take the next step toward mental wellness. Now accepting new patients. Let's work together to help you feel better, function stronger, and live more fully.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health care for children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. My approach is warm, supportive, and centered on building trust. You can expect a safe, judgment-free space where we work collaboratively to explore your concerns, strengths, and goals. I tailor each treatment plan to your unique needs—whether through medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, or other tools that promote healing and emotional wellness. I believe therapy should be flexible, human, and empowering. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll take the first step together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I’ll take the time to get to know you—your history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. This initial visit involves a thorough psychiatric evaluation where we’ll explore your symptoms, medical background, lifestyle factors, and emotional experiences. It’s a conversation, not an interrogation—I create a safe, supportive space where you can share openly and feel heard. Once we’ve established a clear understanding of what you’re experiencing, we’ll discuss a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, lifestyle adjustments, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches like CBT, mindfulness techniques, or other supportive tools. I’ll explain every recommendation clearly so you feel informed and empowered to make decisions about your care. Follow-up sessions are typically shorter and focused on how you're responding to treatment. We’ll monitor symptoms, adjust medications if needed, and continue building coping strategies. While I am not a traditional talk therapist, I always incorporate supportive, solution-focused dialogue to help you process challenges and stay on track. Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or navigating a major life change, each session is tailored to your needs—and always grounded in respect, empathy, and collaboration.

I’ve been seeing Mr. Bright Setorglo for virtual sessions, and he’s been incredibly supportive. He listens without judgment, gives thoughtful advice, and really helps you work through things at your own pace. Even over video, it feels personal and effective. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who genuinely cares.
My telehealth psychiatric visit was a surprisingly comforting and positive experience. From the start, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely supported. Even though we weren’t in the same room, the connection felt real and personal. The platform was easy to use, and the session flowed naturally, making it easy to open up and talk honestly. What really stood out was Dr. Bright's empathy and attentiveness. He created a safe space where I could speak freely without judgment. I left the session feeling lighter, more hopeful, and with a clearer sense of direction. It was a reminder for me that meaningful care doesn’t need to happen in person, but it can happen wherever you are.
I thought it was gonna be weird or awkward, just another adult asking a bunch of questions I didn’t feel like answering. I almost shut down right at the start. But then you weren’t… like that. You didn’t push. You just talked to me like a regular person. That surprised me. At first, I gave short answers. I was testing it, I guess. But you kept checking in, not in a fake way, and that kind of made it easier to talk. When you asked how long I’ve been feeling this way, I didn’t even know what to say. No one really asks me that. Not seriously. So when I finally started talking, it was weirdly relieving. Like I was letting something out I didn’t realize I’d been holding in. I’m still not totally sure how I feel about all of this. I don’t trust easily. But after today, I feel like maybe this won’t suck. Maybe it could even help. I don’t know. I guess I’m willing to come back and that’s something.
