Hi there, I'm Daniel!
I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Liberty University. I also hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's from Kenyatta University. My therapeutic approach centers on guiding clients to find meaning, purpose, and inner strength by embracing the beauty and imperfections of their lived experiences.
Life's challenges like grief, loss, trauma, depression, or anxiety can leave us feeling trapped. Viktor Frankl's words remind us: �When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.� To support clients, I use evidence-based modalities such as Attachment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we create a compassionate and empowering space for growth.
I specialize in guiding adults through acute distress, including depression, anxiety, crisis, and trauma. I also support individuals exploring attachment issues affecting relationships. We develop resilience strategies and uncover fresh perspectives to illuminate a path toward healing.
My communication style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I recognize therapy can be hard, so I aim to create an environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Through active listening and thought-provoking dialogue, I foster a meaningful therapeutic connection.
As a therapist, I deeply believe in the inherent worth of every individual. My passion for counseling comes from a desire to help others embrace their self-worth and transform struggles into strength. I find it humbling and inspiring to walk alongside others as they navigate life's most challenging moments.
