I work with clients to help them navigate multiple life stressors, specifically around relationship issues, intimacy, struggles with identity, and career goals. I hold degrees in social work (which focused on a better understanding of social context and it’s impact on various communities) as well as counseling psychology (which looks more specifically at human development and individual process). This makes for a well rounded foundation in connecting with the stories of others, in addition to 19 years working with elders, adults, youth, individuals with disabilities, as well as victims of crisis and trauma.
I am invested in working with the Black/African diaspora community, and individuals struggling with racialized trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting and working with individuals of all backgrounds struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

Dave is a kind, compassionate, and empathetic therapist. He really provided a safe space for me to explore my most personal thoughts and feelings and helped me heal from multiple traumatic experiences. Dave's therapy style is very flexible and accepting and I never felt that he was judging me. I highly recommend him. Thank you for supporting me during so many difficult times in my life.

Dave is nothing short of an incredible therapist. He has a non-judgemental style that allows you to feel comfortable quickly. He truly cares to get to know you as an individual and helps you not only to unearth the unique circumstances that influence your behavior but to understand them and work with them going forward.
Dave is also the definition of the consummate professional. Our sessions always started on time and he would communicate way in advance if any special accommodations needed to be made on his end which would affect our session (and also be flexible if the reverse were true)
I can't recommend Dave highly enough!

I was meeting with Dave for just over a year. I didn’t have too good of an experience with my previous therapist and was recommended to Dave right after. We met virtually and each session started on time. I instantly realized how easy Dave was to talk to. He helped me to feel like what I shared was important in his ability to recall things we talked about weeks prior. His approach was non-judgmental and he helped me work through the root of my issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a therapist.

Dave Cazeau is a compassionate, caring and professional therapist who supported me during a difficult period in my life, exasperated by the pandemic. He was attentive to the nuances of the BIPOC experience, and the space he provided had me leave with greater insights into myself, my inner landscape, and tools to get on a path of emotional healing and personal growth.

Dave was a great therapist and care provider in my time of need. He has a great bedside manner and is extremely tactile in recommending different strategies to help address my concerns. It also was nice being able to see a Black man to whom I could relate. Overall, I highly recommend his care.
