I am Denetrius Hunter, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, where my studies were concentrated in Mental Health and Substance Abuse in 2015. My experience includes working with adults, adolescents, and children in therapy settings dealing depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship conflicts, behavioral management, self-esteem challenges, and building social skills. My passion is just to help….period. My therapeutic approach is very much client centered while is using the cognitive behavioral model while incorporating in solution focused concepts. My main focus will always be TO START WHERE YOU ARE.
Because it is my true belief that every client already has the answers they seek inside themselves, my role in our collaboration will be to assist you in gaining or enhancing skills of resilience, adapting in the face of adversity, increasing emotional awareness and regulation, acceptance, and most importantly finding a sense of peace.
