My name is Dominique and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland.
My clinical experiences include working primarily with individuals with anxiety disorders and OCD related disorders including: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Social Anxiety Disorder, Illness Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I also have clinical experience treating individuals with Tic disorders such as Tourette’s syndrome.
Additional areas of clinical interest include depression, grief, self-esteem and body image related issues, relationship issues, life transitions, family conflict, and women’s issues.
Through a compassion focused lens, I believe in an eclectic approach to treatment utilizing a range of different interventions and techniques that are tailored to fit the client’s needs. I am most experienced utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention (ERP) in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Offering a nonjudgmental, warm, and validating space for my clients is my top priority in providing quality care and to ensure a strong therapeutic relationship.
