Very pleasant & clean facility, personnel always very cordial. My Therapist, Don, always punctual, very patient, friendly, immediately put me at ease. My problem was w/my
foot & leg. During my initial evaluation he took his time to understand exactly what sort of pain I was feeling
where t/pain was. He set up a very good program of exercises & made sure I did them correctly so that I
could continue them at home. During each visit he would re - evaluate & add additional exercises. He was
always available for any questions/concerns. Under Don's care, my problems have finally ceased. I still
incorporate these exercises into my daily routine. Don is the best! He is caring, loves his job, is excellent a
and it shows! I highly recommend him.

Don took all the time necessary to explain the procedure, answered all my questions, showed me exactly what to do, watched me replicate his instructions. He was patient, and extremely clear of what I needed to do. I highly recommend DON as an excellent practitioner of his craft.

Donald Zerio received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of St Augustine in Miami, Florida. Don earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Sport Nutrition from University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. He grew up playing various sports including swimming, diving, and baseball.
Don developed a passion for resistance training and enjoys rehabilitating gym and sports-related injuries, as well as tendon pathologies and post-surgical cases. He uses his experience as a personal trainer to develop unique and individualized exercise programs for his patients. Don assisted in starting SPEAR’s Transitional Care service and was originally a rehab technician at the 84th Street and 57th Street locations prior to attending physical therapy school.
In his free time, Don enjoys strength training, hiking, golfing, and cooking. He loves playing all types of intramural sports, his favorite position being the center fielder for his Central Park Softball team, Slug Lyfe.

This was my first experience with a physical therapist and Don was great. He made sure I understood what was wrong with my knee and what I would have to do for me to get better. Don was super knowledgeable and gave me tons of exercises to do in the clinic and at home and he always answered any questions I had by email really quickly. In the end, I left PT pain-free, knowing that I had a great new knowledge of how to keep myself healthy thanks to Don.

I was extremely satisfied with Don's treatment. He was in tune with my expectations, needs and concerns. He was always adjusting on the fly to any issue I had or any discomfort I was feeling. He worked meticulously to fix every creak and pop I felt while recovering from my second ankle surgery. His program of strengthening got me back to 100% within 5 months which was right on the doctors schedule. Thank you DON!!
