Hi, I am Eliamonic (pronounced Eliamonique), you can call me Elia!
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, English and Spanish, giving me the privilege to hear multicultural stories from different life experiences built of courage, resilience, and strength. As a therapist, I define myself as the editor to the author, whom is seeking to edit their life story to re-define their authentic self, by processing and deconstructing the core issues to learn how to acknowledge self-awareness to develop and manage emotions, thoughts, behaviors, self purpose, live a healthy and balanced life.
I am humbled to be part of your experience in finding healing, purpose, and worthiness while prioritizing yourself as a human being, embracing your journey for change.
I provide mental and emotional safety through a therapeutic and non-judgmental space, an oasis for emotional expression of life experiences where the client develops a new profound perspective filled with a sense of peace and clarity for change, by listening, empathizing, validating, and embracing your humanistic evolution.
I am guided by a humanistic, client-centered, and realist approach to put the client's needs first, using interventions from Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy.
In 2008, I received a bachelor’s of arts in Psychology from Trinity Washington University, in Washington D.C. In 2019, I received a master’s of science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2024, I became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through EverGreen Certifications and trained under J. Eric Gentry, PhD. As a therapist, I gained my experience in a hospital and private practice setting.
