Elif RaynorI speak Turkish and English and I am very familiar with Islamic, Catholic, and Buddhist beliefs. I am experienced in counseling immigrants and second-generation problems with immigration. I am an immigrant myself. I have lived in the United States since 1994.
I am very friendly and my sessions are very calm. My office is decorated with the warmest welcome when my clients walk in and right away they verbalize that it is very peaceful. At the end of sessions if a client agrees we do a brief breathing session and meditation. There is always calming music in the background.
I am very sensitive to cultural backgrounds. I treat all my clients within their cultural values. That means nobody can hear anything offensive from me. I practice Ahimsa which means no harm in Buddhist belief.
My sessions are always educational. I also teach psychology courses at a state college. It is my pleasure to educate my clients about human psychology, diagnoses, treatments, etc. This way my clients understand and play a greater role in their treatment.
I believe I have great analytical skills and I possess excellent communication skills. I am observant and show great patience with my clients. There
