My path to becoming an LPC began as a teenager when I realized how my empathetic nature allowed me to connect with and truly feel for others. From that point, I explored careers that aligned with my desire to help, which led me to the counseling field. At age 17, I set my goal to become an LPC. Since entering college, the last decade of my life has been dedicated to gaining education and direct counseling experience while working in diverse settings to best prepare me to meet my clients' needs.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University and then completed my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. After finishing my formal education, I have continued to gain valuable direct counseling experience. My time spent in acute settings, such as psychiatric inpatient care, has given me a unique perspective on each client's concerns. I remain committed to growing both as a counselor and as a person.
My passion for working with grief and trauma began during my work in Hospice and Medical Hospital settings. I then gained experience in community mental health and crisis intervention, which provides a strong foundation for helping clients cope with hopelessness. Following that, I spent three years working in higher levels of care with individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders. Currently, I provide outpatient care through telehealth and hybrid models, offering direct support to individuals and couples.
