I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist who specializes in treating adults, adolescents, and children in individual psychotherapy and group treatment. My focus is helping clients to take charge of relationships in their lives, navigate career and work issues, improve their self-esteem, and manage depression and anxiety.
As a member of the board of directors of the New York City Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, I often work with families who have a mentally ill family member and help them to manage their family member’s illness. Having worked in the outpatient psychiatry department at Bellevue Hospital for the past ten years, I am a specialist in treating substance abuse and addiction issues.
I understand that the process of entering therapy can be difficult and emotionally charged. With that in mind, I listen carefully to my clients and work at a pace with which they are most comfortable. I have helped many people to understand themselves so that they can make better choices and live more fulfilling lives.
I bring to my practice a true desire to help people, an empathic style, and a multitude of life experiences.
