Hi there, my name is Essence and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based out of Columbus. My main goal is to support you where you are and to help you get to where you'd like to go. The process of healing is not linear and neither is navigating life challenges. With the right tools, support, and encouragement, my hope is to empower you to live to your fullest capacity.
I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I also provide perinatal support, including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum care. My approach is client-centered and compassionate, ensuring that you feel heard and understood throughout our sessions. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and am committed to ongoing learning and professional development to provide the best care possible. Whether you're dealing with everyday stressors or significant life changes, I'm here to help you navigate these challenges and find a path forward.
When I am not providing counseling, I enjoy spending time with family and my labradoodle, eating great food, and exploring the city. These activities help me stay grounded and bring a sense of balance to my life, which I believe is essential for providing effective support to my clients.
