Experience:
Gila Kolodny is a Florida Licensed School Psychologist and a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She attended Touro College in New York City and received a Masters degree in School Psychology and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Gila has almost 20 years of experience working in schools and clinical settings. She believes in a collaborative approach when working with children in order to create their unique path to success.
Gila conducts psychological and psychoeducational evaluations in order to diagnose Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Gifted Abilities. She can also diagnose Depression, Anxiety, and other emotional and behavioral conditions. Gila’s assessments provide specific recommendations outlining classroom and home strategies for her clients. These evaluations are comprehensive and aimed at identifying strengths and weaknesses in order to create individualized paths to achieving academic success.
Gila also works closely with children and adults in a therapeutic setting by strengthening their skills and empowering them to maximize their own personal growth. Gila also works with helping parents develop parenting skills, implement strategies in the home, and improve the parent-child relationship.
