Hello, I am Tina Taylor (LPC006127), and I enjoy helping others make significant changes in their lives. It would be a pleasure to work alongside you in challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors (CBT) that keep you from the quality of life you desire. You have come so far already—let's walk together to a new way of living. My approach I approach therapy as a journey the client and counselor take together. The client is the driver and directs the course of therapy. As the counselor, I aid clients in arriving at a destination by providing strategies and interventions to help change perspectives. What I have found is that the greater clarity a client has, the more choices they gain. Clients often change direction and find ways out of life experiences that once felt stuck. All of this is done in a conversational manner. Clients are constantly learning while sharing their stories. I love it! My focus I enjoy working with adults as a generalist. I see clients with a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, anger management, family conflict, and more. I most enjoy aiding clients in current life transitions. My communication style I describe working with me as similar to having a journal that talks back. As we reflect on the client's life experiences, we seek to give them meaning and gain clarity on the client's needs and values—ultimately seeking ways to put reflection into practice. Clients are challenged to talk in therapy and do the work in life. My journey to therapy I believe throughout my life I have displayed the necessary empathy and unconditional positive regard to do this work. I decided to be a counselor when I was a teenager. Since then, I have given myself eight years of educational training, including earning my PsyD from the University of Arizona, and over 15 years of professional practice. It is my passion to see people make significant lifelong changes in their lives. It is simply what I do both on and off the clock.
