With a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their unique journeys. What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether a client is new to counseling or looking to continue care, I welcome the opportunity to assist others in making mental health a priority in their life as we work to develop the appropriate positive coping skillset to best tend to one's emotional well-being and unique circumstances. My background as a writer and teacher is what drives my counseling work--empowering clients in making crucial connections, across generations and across cultures, but also in connecting people to themselves.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that, as mental health practitioners, we are the midwives of a paradigm shift. While life may offer a myriad of obstacles to overcome, the working therapeutic alliance--along with commitment to the goals and objectives established in treatment (as well as the adherence to short and long-term treatment planning tailored to each client's individual needs)--can provide a means of navigating these difficulties with greater ease and overall autonomy.
