Getting to know Hanna Avnon

Is your teen acting differently? Are they feeling anxious, isolating, displaying low self-esteem, or having challenges at school or in relationships with friends or family? Being a teen today is not easy, especially in a society where social media and comparison consume their developing minds. Do you want to help your teen overcome the many complex issues that impact them daily? You don't have to go through this difficult period alone. Many teens benefit from having a safe place to process their thoughts and feelings while learning coping skills to manage their symptoms. I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Northridge, and I am dedicated to supporting teens through these challenges with empathy and professional care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach to support children and teenagers with challenges that arise during their development. In session, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral techniques, mindfulness and the therapeutic relationship to assist clients in reaching their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My hope is to create a safe space where your child feels honored and valued. I work alongside the child and your family to create meaningful change. I currently offer individual and family therapy in person and virtually.

Ongoing session: $130 for 50 minutes

Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
