Heather Ross, LCSW

Psychotherapist
UT
Finding the right therapist is an important first step toward healing—and I believe that the most effective therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship. I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, body image, personality disorders, trauma, attachment challenges, perfectionism, and LGBTQIA-related concerns. I have years of experience working with individuals as well as families navigating these challenges, as well as family conflict, unhealthy dynamics, codependency, etc. My approach My approach is identity-centered and grounded in compassion, presence, and genuine understanding. I believe that many people already hold the answers they need within themselves. My role is to help you reconnect with that inner wisdom—serving as a sounding board, offering support, and holding space for self-discovery and growth. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I am trained in Brainspotting—a powerful, neuroscience-based modality that can help process trauma more deeply and efficiently. Many of my clients have found Brainspotting to be transformative, especially when other approaches haven’t gone far enough. My focus Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts, lack of motivation, and self-doubt? I help adults and teens who are managing anxiety and life transitions develop the tools they need to build their self-esteem. My goal is to offer a supportive environment where you can fully express yourself authentically, gain insight, and take steps toward personal growth. My communication style My style is warm and collaborative—I'll support and challenge you while helping you move toward meaningful change. I provide my undivided attention in every session, because I know firsthand how discouraging it feels when someone isn’t fully present with you.
