I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with adolescents, adults, and families to improve their wellbeing. I am experienced in working with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and military-related issues. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I provide an empathic, judgment-free, safe space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, as well as offering them the tools and encouragement they need to cope with life. Watching my clients grow and experience positive change is important to me. I have a passion for working with military families and draw on my 20+ years of experience as the spouse of an active-duty service member to help others manage deployments and frequent moves.
I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2019 with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. During that time, I gained experience working with diverse populations and concerns. I have sought and completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and DBT. I continue to attend trainings to increase my knowledge and provide up-to-date care to help my clients thrive.
