I have already recommended Holly to several coworkers. I really like her approach to therapy, I’ve been in therapy since I was in college when my father was first diagnosed with cancer, and of the several therapists that I’ve had to change due to changes in jobs/insurance providers, I have fought to keep my insurance to keep her services. I like Holly’s approach and methods, I appreciate that she has held space for me to fully express my thoughts and feelings, which have always been met warmly and when appropriate with solution oriented responses from her. I had never had EMDR as a therapy treatment, and to be honest it was a bit scary at first, but Holly had facilitated it in a way that allows me to tap into heavy unprocessed feelings from my past in a safe way, with a “life jacket” on. It sounds silly, but sometimes as these feelings arise it’s difficult to manage the remnants of the physical/emotional response on your own. Each session has allowed me to dig deeper and to feel empowered and lighter over the following days after each session. I’ve been able to overcome blockages over the past year, giving me the confidence and sense of worthiness to apply to a job in my dream field, go back to school on a part time basis, and set goals for myself. And although I don’t live in constant fear and anxiety anymore, I recognize that as long as I have a pulse, I always want to continue working on myself with her help.
