Welcome, my name is Jaleesa Freitas, and I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in Clinical/Forensic Psychology. I received my Ph.D. in 2017 from Alliant International University in California. I have worked with clients within the community as well as within prison settings who have struggled with a wide range of mental health-related symptoms and stressors including anxiety, anger management, depression, relationship-related issues, stress management, substance abuse, and self-confidence. In sessions with clients, I tend to use a team approach whereby I work with the client to identify core issues and develop healthy, adaptive interventions together. I utilize interventions from treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), carefully considering which modality, or modalities, will work best for the individual client I am working with. I also have a wide range of experience in the area of psychological testing and evaluation.
