My therapeutic approach is to work collaboratively with clients in order to produce positive outcomes. I have 7 years experience working with mental health and substance use recovery populations aged 16 - 70+ in individual and group settings. One of my main goals is to help clients develop new perspectives on their experiences and attain a sense of meaning from the work they have done to navigate through them.
I am currently in the process of obtaining a PhD in Counseling Supervision with a focus on researching methods to increase resiliency skills for individual experiencing chronic pain and medical conditions. Clients may expect CBT, motivational interviewing, person centered, narrative, and existential modalities to be used as part of the therapeutic process.
In my spare time I enjoy and recording and performing music. As a result I have an interest in working with clients who may be experiencing difficulty with performance anxiety in arts or sports.
