Everyone has to face challenges in life. Our problems do not have to define or determine how we will live. I work with people who are experiencing mental, emotional, or behavioral challenges in life. I want to help you define the direction you want to head in life, and plan and commit to meaningful living.
I have experience helping people with various life problems, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and substance use. If you are ready to make some changes, I am ready to help you get where you want to go.
I have extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is an evidence-based counseling approach. ACT emphasizes processes of change characterized by openness to experience, awareness of the present, and active engagement with life. I utilize an app called Psychflex to extend our work, and give exercises you can work on between sessions.
I know reaching out for help can be hard to do. I want to commend you for considering doing so. While it may be hard to reach out, many things in life that matter can be hard to do. When you are ready to talk to someone about what is going on, I would be honored to speak with you. I will meet you where you are, and show compassion and empathy.
