Healing is a process, but not one that needs to be done alone. We all encounter challenges, problems, and stress that can impact us and often leave us emotionally wounded. Anxiety can feel crushing and crippling. Depression can feel dark and lonely. Relationship problems can feel confusing and hopeless. Keeping up with the demands of life can be challenging with all the burdens that weigh us down or consume our hearts and minds.
Thankfully, change is possible! Relief from the pain can feel hopeful when we have been feeling so hopeless, freeing when we have felt so trapped, and confident when we have felt confused and unsure. But the age-old question of "how"...
Well, that's where I come in! I'm Bethany, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cairn University. With over 9 years of experience in counseling, I have encountered the struggles, challenges, and problems that people face. I utilize evidence-based treatment to help you learn and implement the skills and tools needed to feel better LONG TERM!
What should a new client know about working with you?
My name is Bethany, and I am part of a private practice named Unpacked. A few other clinicians and I are here on ZocDoc. If you book with me through ZocDoc, all communication will come from "Unpacked Group" through email, where you can access all your information and appointment requests. We will send information for logging into your portal and how to proceed with continuing with appointments.

We offer a Superbill for clients who have out of network benefits on their plan. My practice also offers an application for reduced rate in order to be considered for a potential sliding scale adjustment.
If you are planning on using insurance, expect a couple of days lead time for us to verify your plan before we accept your appointment. Don't worry, we will reach out via email and text to let you know we received your request!

I had a great first experience with Bethany. She had reviewed all of my paperwork prior to our appointment so we could have the maximum amount of time to discuss our therapy objectives moving forward. She was very supportive of my goals and listened intently. She never made me feel rushed. She didn’t interrupt me while I was speaking and had a very calming demeanor. She made sure that I was aware of my rights and responsibilities as a patient and was eager to answer any other questions I had. Can’t wait to book with her again. She instantly made me feel comfortable with her ability to treat me.
