Hi. My name is Jenise Caetana and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My practice is based in Tulare, California with telehealth allowing me the opportunity to work with clients from all over California. I am focused on helping adolescents, young adults, and others who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, and difficulty with transitions through the use of Client-Centered, Brief Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies.
My approach
My approach to therapy is based on my education as a Client-Centered Therapist. My focus during our sessions is to be genuine, have unconditional positive regard, be non-judgmental, and have empathic understanding. While this theoretical orientation is my base, I have also found that Brief Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are also very helpful in working toward meeting treatment goals.
My focus
My main focus is on helping adolescents, young adults, and others who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, and difficulty with transitions. In learning where someone is now, where they would like to be, and working together to set a goal to get there, I help others to achieve their goals through gaining an understanding of their strengths as well as introducing the necessary coping skills.
My communication style
I have an engaging, relaxed way of communicating. While I have an easy-going way of interacting, I will also gently confront someone when it is necessary for growth.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist so that I could be a safe, confidential person for others to talk to about issues that they are experiencing that are keeping them from living their lives to the fullest potential.

I will look to you to guide the process of goal setting by discussing what you want to achieve with your time in therapy and determining what path will lead you to meet that goal.
