As someone who has always been interested in how we connect and communicate with others, I discovered my passion for counseling. As a therapist, I aim to create a safe space for you to be vulnerable throughout your journey of self-exploration and acceptance. My therapeutic style is rooted in an integrative approach that allows me to collaborate with my clients and tailor a plan to fit their individual needs. My approach is primarily based in a psychodynamic focus, exploring the impact of family upbringing and environmental influences. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to reframe negative thought processes, along with mindfulness techniques when working with my clients.
Together, we will develop new coping skills and approaches to achieve the changes you wish to see in your life. It is important to me that you feel listened to, validated, and empowered to make these changes during our time together and moving forward. Therapy is a journey that may be difficult and uncomfortable at times, but it is often in discomfort where we see the most growth.
I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. I also hold bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in Special Education and Rehabilitation, Deaf Studies, from the University of Arizona. I am a California native currently living in New York City, navigating all that it means to call this big city home.

Jenna is empathetic, kind and warm-hearted while being honest and upfront. She leaves space for my feelings and still manages to challenge me to grow. I have a better understanding of the “why” behind my emotions and am learning to handle new situations with better tools she has helped me develop.
