Hello! My name is Jennifer Haney. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Mississippi. I am also licensed in several other states as well. I have over 20 years experience working with individuals, couples and families with issues such as relationship conflicts, grief, career changes, stress, boundaries and emotional difficulties. It is my goal to help my clients overcome challenges they are facing and feel more supported and hopeful about themselves and the obstacles they are experiencing. I would be happy to support you in your journey!
My approach
I incorporate a variety of counseling approaches depending on the needs of the client. I utilize cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. These approaches encourage healthier ways of thinking and promote change. It is my goal to help you on your journey to a healthier and happier life.
My focus
I currently work with individuals and couples ages eighteen and over addressing relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and other life struggles. clients ages eighteen and over. I understand the unique issues military and first responders face and welcome the opportunity to work with this population as well. I also have experience in working with the military and their families with overcoming the unique obstacles they face.
My communication style
My professional counseling style mirrors my personality. I strive to create a non-judgemental and supportive environment for clients that promotes a safe, comfortable space to share and benefit from the sessions. kind, compassionate and easy to talk with. I am supportive, honest and direct without being judgemental.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have felt led to work in the mental health field most of my life. I have also utilized counseling for difficulties in my life. It was not easy but proved to be incredibly beneficial.
