Jill began her career as a therapist working with world-renowned psychiatrists and psychologists, providing crisis counseling in reproductive health, supporting an intensive eating disorder treatment program, and practicing in private settings. She has focused much of her work on encouraging clients in self-advocacy, boundary setting, and empowerment. Theoretical orientations she gravitates toward include a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy—while also finding that a sprinkling of humor can often help with perspective a great deal. Jill received her master’s degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and continued her studies in Mental Health Counseling at the University at Buffalo.
