Johnna Miska is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio who has been practicing since 2020. She has a BFA from Ohio University and an MA from Adler University.
Coming from an artistic background, Johnna has a unique and passionate approach to therapy. Johnna offers general psychotherapy as well as art therapy to suit clients individual needs and aims to break down the barriers of the sterile therapeutic environment. She believes its important to approach her work from a place of deep empathy, creativity, understanding, radical acceptance, problem solving, and a splash of humor and fun to help individuals regain their spark of joy. Johnna believes it important to approach each client on an individual basis, factoring in ones unique life experiences, traumas, socioeconomic and cultural upbringing, interests, and goals to help them gain insight and work towards learning how to ultimately feel more confident, supported, and excited to tackle their futures.
Outside of work, Johnna has been a lifelong artist and finds her deepest sense of purpose using creativity to help others discover their inner light. She loves painting, drawing, textile work, and fiber art, as well as crafting. She also LOVES music and plays guitar, ukulele, and dabbles in the keyboard. She loves going for long walks, runs, yoga, and hiking, and listening to a good true crime podcast or audiobook. She thinks it’s important to make time for friends and spends quality time with her cat to wind down.
