Jonathan comes to Zion with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercy College. Having graduated with honors, he brings the spirit of striving towards excellence when treating his patients. Regardless of whether he's treating a recent sporting injury or a patient experiencing persistent pain, Jonathan is a believer in always going back to the basics. He seeks to revolve his patient care around identifying the simplest, most efficacious and evidenced based intervention to yield a swift recovery.
Prior to his graduate studies in Physical Therapy, Jonathan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from SUNY Purchase. During his undergraduate studies, Jonathan's interest in fitness and health led him to obtain his AFAA personal training certification where he worked training athletes of all age and experience levels. He is currently pursuing his NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) certification. Jonathan has always been active, whether hiking, bouldering, shooting hoops, cycling, swimming, lifting weights, or most recently taking up the martial application of Tai Chi, called push hands. He understands how frustrating feeling limited by injuries can be and is driven by working with his patients to overcome the challenges and obstacles preventing them from enjoying their lives.
Jonathan is certified in the Functional Movement Screen and is positioning himself for candidacy towards the American Board of Physical Therapy Orthopedic specialty. He has a strong clinical interest in pain science and has experience working with patients with chronic pain; he is currently completing his Retrain Pain Certification.
