More about Kayla Jackson, LCSW
We all go through stressful and trying times, and I work collaboratively with individuals to help them navigate these challenges. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or other difficult emotions and life experiences, I believe we can all overcome obstacles together.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado. Utilizing an eclectic approach to mental health treatment—including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology—I believe that understanding and processing our struggles taps into our strengths and helps us move forward. I often incorporate creative activities tailored to each individual alongside traditional talk therapy, as some feelings are better expressed without words.
I apply an intersectional lens when conceptualizing the various factors impacting each person. As an advocate for equity and social justice, I value the belief that you are the expert on your own story and life experiences.
I am open to working with individuals of all backgrounds and ages and take pride in cultivating a safe, welcoming space for everyone I encounter. I look forward to helping you reach a place where your mind can truly shine!
