Thank you for visiting my profile. I love helping clients struggling with relationship issues who are eager to do the work to form loving, fulfilling relationships. I’m passionate about helping clients work through childhood emotional neglect, which often impacts adult relationships. Emotional neglect and trauma cause suffering beyond relationship issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, poor boundaries, feeling overwhelmed, longing for connection alongside fear, interpersonal conflict, and more.
Two major fields guide my work: trauma and attachment. As a trauma-informed therapist, I help you understand your symptoms’ function and move away from pathologizing or diagnosing. I believe if your circumstances were different, you wouldn’t have most symptoms. Once you heal those wounds, symptoms will disappear or become mild and sporadic.
I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University and have over 20 years of experience with excellent training. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish. My approach combines evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic therapy. Clients appreciate my empathetic, results-oriented style.
I’m constantly training in scientifically proven interventions to provide the best service.
