Kimberly Warner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisory and a Credentialed Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)-Supervisory, licensed in Virginia and New York. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree from Campbell University. Kim has over 13 years of experience as a mental health, trauma, and chemical dependency therapist, along with 6 years of clinical supervision and director experience. She is credentialed in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities for trauma and adversities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Exposure Therapy, Cohesion Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Kim has experience working with individuals, couples, families, interventions, groups, the LGBTQ+ community, and adolescents aged 13 and older. In addition to EMDR and CPT, she holds certifications in ADHD-CCP, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy, and is an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning through O.K. CORRAL and PATH International trainings.
She is passionate about supporting those dealing with trauma, adversities, ADHD, grief and loss, anxiety, anger management, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorders, infertility concerns, and depression. Kim volunteers with several organizations, including T.A.P.S. in Arlington, Virginia, as a Peer Mentor and Care Group Grief/Loss Facilitator, and NEIGH, Inc. in New York as a Board Member and contributor to their equine therapy program. She also provides supervision to MSWs obtaining residency and licensing at LifeStance.
Lastly, Kim is a Gold Star Wife, which has deepened her understanding of trauma, adversities, and mental health challenges.
